Zipline attractions seem to be popping up all over Las Vegas. There are now options in both major tourist hubs, the Strip and Fremont Street, in addition to Rio’s off-strip offering. We thought it would be helpful to lay out your options in one central place so you can compare what is available.

FlyLINQ Zipline – Las Vegas Strip
Located mid-Strip on the LINQ Promenade, FlyLINQ will send you zipping from Las Vegas Boulevard over the shops and restaurants that make up the pedestrian walkway toward the High Roller observation wheel. You’ll be flying 12 stories above the promenade below and have the option of sitting, flying backwards, or going in a superhero position (laying on your stomach).

Reviews have been mostly positive as the attraction boasts 4.5/5 stars on TripAdvisor. Common positive review themes point out that there are rarely lines or a long wait and that the ride itself is pretty thrilling albeit quick. Negative reviews center around how short the ride is (35-45 seconds) and that the stop is pretty sudden at the end.
Slotzilla – Fremont Street Experience
While FlyLINQ sends riders soaring over a newer incarnation of Las Vegas, Slotzilla sends you flying down the vintage neon canyon that is the Fremont Street Experience. The attraction offers 2 distinct riding experiences. The first is a 2 story high, 2 block long rip in a sitting position which is referred to as the Zipline. The higher Zoomline sends you flying superhero style on your stomach for 5 blocks at a height of 11 stories.

What are people saying about the Slotzilla Zipline?
The 4.5 / 5 stars Slotzilla has earned on TripAdvisor confirm that riders are consistently satisfied with what they are getting for their money. Positive review themes point out the scenery is fantastic, the ride is thrilling and their tends to be a minimal wait. Most negative reviews focused on poor weather and cost of commemorative photos at the end of the ride. If you have to choose one zipline in Vegas, our opinion is that Slotzilla tops the competition by a wide margin.
VooDoo Zipline at Rio
VooDoo Zipline at Rio sends riders flying at speeds up to 33 mph across the 800 foot chasm between the resort’s Masquerade and Ipanema Towers. The ride starts from the 50th floor of the Masquerade Tower, a dizzying 400 feet from the ground. After you arrive at the end of the zipline, you’ll be pulled back to where you started, extending your ride time.
VooDoo is by far the highest from the ground of your 3 options and instead of being harnessed in, riders are buckled into a chairlift like seat.

The standard price is $27.49, however, a locals discount of 20% is available with a valid NV ID. Caesars Rewards members who have earned either Diamond or Seven Stars status will receive a 10% discount.
VooDoo Zipline patrons receive free entry to the Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub & Lounge. If you want a second go at the zipline, a re-ride ticket can be purchased for just $17.49 per person.

Of the 3, VooDoo scored lowest on the TripAdvisor rating scale tallying a still solid 4 / 5 Stars. Positive review themes point out that the height of the attraction is thrilling and suggest the ride is a strong value at it’s price point. Riders also enjoyed the views before and after their ride from the Voodoo lounge atop the Rio. Some riders had safety concerns as there is only a seat belt holding you in a chairlift type apparatus, however, we feel comfortable assuming the engineers and ride designers have the safety aspect covered.

Las Vegas is a great place to visit. If you like to gamble it is the Mecca of betting, but if you don’t there are still plenty of fun things to do.
On of the biggest thrills in Las Vegas is the Downtown Zip Line, better know as the Fremont Street Flight Line. This attraction is owned and operated by Flightlinez. Located at the outdoor mall on Freemont Street in Las Vegas, this zip-line is over 800 feet long, and gives the rider a thrill from beginning to the end. No matter what your age is you will enjoy a trip on the zip.
The zip-line is open all day and late into the night. Tastes Like Travel did it at night when the lights and crowds are at their peak. In reality the hours are 12 noon until midnight except on Friday and Saturday when it is open until 2 AM. All ages are allowed to ride but if you are under 18 you must have your parents sign a waiver. There are some size and height restrictions. You must be between 60 and 250 pounds to ride and you cant be over 6’7″ tall because of clearance restriction on the ride (sorry NBA players). The cost is $15.00 before 6 pm and $20.00 after that.
Zipline Downtown Las Vegas Tickets
Depending on the time of year plan on waiting for at least 30 minutes or so. The line starts outside the ticket office located next to the Walgreens at 425 Fremont St. Parking is available at the Fremont street parking garage on the corner of Carson and 4th street.
Zipline In Downtown Las Vegas
Once you get through that line you get in line for the zipline which is up the elevators and on the roof. The cool part about standing in line is watching the other riders take the ride over Fremont Street. Some people are really nervous and fret the whole time, others are ready to go, but either way it is great people watching. The adrenaline starts pumping when you get on the platform. After that is is truly an exhilarating ride and well worth the wait.
